As one of the standout South Yarra restaurants, we offer a seasonal Italian menu with weekly specials, such as cheese wheel pasta events, ensuring there's always something fresh and exciting to enjoy in Italian. Our award-winning wine list perfectly complements the authentic flavours, making Cucinetta one of the best Italian restaurants in the area.

In a more impersonal world, we pride ourselves on reviving the Italian tradition of "stare a tavola," where meals are shared and enjoyed together. Known as a 'local Italian gem,' we strive to provide professional yet friendly service, genuine food, and an extensive wine selection.

Our motto, 'Creiamo Emozioni...' meaning 'we create emotions,' reflects our passion for what we do. It's this love that makes dining at Cucinetta such a unique experience.

The Journey of One of the Best South Yarra Restaurants

Our story began with two friends, Omar and Giacomo, who arrived in Australia with just $1000. On February 20, 2017, they took over a small café called Cucinetta and transformed it into one of the best Italian restaurants in Melbourne. Now, it is a go-to among South Yarra restaurants.



Our secret? It's simple: great food, great service, and great hospitality. People remember the experience more than the meal. That's why we strive to create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels at home.
